For more than half a century, Katsui drove new forms of visual expression enabled by new technologies of the era, including print design, pictograms, and data visualization. He's received prestigious awards, held several exhibitions across the globe, and was an art director of various design organizations, including JAGDA and Tokyo AIGI. Later in his career, he became a head professor at Musashino Art University where he taught communications design.
